Between Breasts & Brews

Life has just handed me a breast cancer diagnosis.

So I’m starting here -  with a mug of tea, a bit of honesty, and whatever sense of humour I can hang onto.

This is my diary, first and foremost.  A place for me to process, cope, and make sense of what’s ahead.

You’re welcome to drop by from time to time - I’m happy to share it with you, whether it’s to get a glimpse of the ups, the downs, or the moments in between.

Think of it as joining me for a cup of tea and a chat, even if it’s just through these words.

Breast Cancer, One Cup of Tea at a Time

This is a running record of key moments in my journey - the things that shook my world, the milestones, and the small reflections along the way.

4 March 2026: Diagnosed with multifocal Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (ER and HER2+) - the start of a journey I never signed up for. Felt surreal, overwhelming, and yet somehow grounding to finally put a name to what was happening.

19 March 2026: Neoadjuvant TCHP chemotherapy commencement date – officially the start of needles, appointments, and naps at inconvenient times. Here’s to surviving the schedules, the fatigue, the nausea and maybe even enjoying the occasional small victory.

"Between the scans and the brews, I found that even the heaviest days are lighter with a bit of laughter and a lot of heart."
